Why We Should Perform Penetration Tests with Different Firms?
We have mentioned about what to consider when choosing a penetration test firm before. In this article we’d like to indicate that how periodically checking up to the different firms is a more gainful method in choose of penetration test.
The most mentioned reason at changes of penetration test firms is to gain “a new perspective” to the test. A different engineer can find different issues or vulnerabilities that missed by previous pentests because he would have different resume or specialties.
Not the tools, methods are important.
Even if the tools used are similar, as usage perspective different methods can be used in penetration test like each artist creates a different art with the same materials. In addition, different companies may have different methods (however you should be sure that any methodology is compatible with an industry standard). This means that different companies may focus to the one aspect of the test compared to another company.
